I'd love to talk about arts documentaries with you! I am finishing up a documentary called "Art is Patriotic" with filmmaker Jeffery Schell about artists' response to the 2008 RNC, and the confluence of art and politics, especially in the pivotal, p…

Hi Cristina, Sorry, I just now saw your note from 2/17! I didn't realize this page had an ongoing life! I'm so sorry we didn't catch up. Tell me again where you live, maybe we'll have another opportunity. I'm just leaving to work in ES for the next couple weeks but we can be in touch when I'm back. Best, Kaye

Hi Cristina, sorry I haven't responded sooner. I was so blown away by the conference!

Matt is the filmmaker, I'm more the marketing/business person. My background is print media, so I'm a writer and editor by training. It's interesting, though, how storytelling is storytelling, no matter what the medium.

Do you have a Web site? What projects are you working on? It would be great to get together sometime this spring. We can come down to Charlotte or if you want to come to the screening of our film at RiverRun in late April, that would be cool too!

Cheers, Cornelia

Hi again Cristina,

I think you may have read one of the other comments on my page. I'm definitely still attending, and looking forward to it! :) Also, I do live in Chicago now, but I'm also very proud to say that I am from N.C. as well!

Looking forward to meeting and talking with you!

Amy

Hi Cristina!
I am indeed coming a long way. I have other things to do in DC and NYC so am making more of this trip. This is what you have to do when you swoop in from Alaska. I'm originally from State College, PA, so I'm an East Coaster at heart. I'm currently finishing up a documentary about Alaska Native civil rights. I'm actually doing a preview screening at NYU next week.

Hi Cristina, I'm actually from N.C. (near Virginia) as well! It'll be nice to meet you at our lunch, I'm looking forward to it!

Thanks for writing!

Your interview sounds great -- I look forward to meeting you and hearing more about that!
I'm producing a film about children in El Salvador; the producer/director Maria Rodriguez lives in Phila too. We're filming in the US and ES, just winding up pre-production.
More about both our projects over lunch!
